This was our 7th bareboat charter around Greece and the Greek islands. Once we found Luxury Catamarans, it was plain sailing. We chose a larger but older catamaran this time – the cost was not just competitive but a lot cheaper than all other competitors. Unfortunately the boat we had booked was damaged the week before so a newer and bigger boat – with flushing toilets 🙂 was booked as a replacement for us. Early pickup was good, check in and check out were easy. We had 1 issue whilst sailing, we called the owner (who we had met at check-in) and they resolved the issue. Will definitely be booking again with Luxury Catamarans

If you have ever dreamed of chartering a private catamaran, DO IT! We chartered around the Cyclades in Greece for a week and it was nothing short of amazing. Luxury Catamarans made the process so easy and answered my million questions with kindness and patience. Penelope the customer coordinator could not have been more helpful. Our captain Themos kept us safe during days of high winds while showing us a great time. Our hostess Aimilia was as sweet as sugar and made us food better than anything we ate in restaurants. We will definitely be chartering with this company again.

An amazing trip around the Ionian islands on the power cat ChristAl MiO. We sailed over 500 NM via the Corinth channel within one week, and had glorious weather and calm waters. The crew were exceptional: a very experienced Captain, a superb chef who made some of the best local food we have ever tasted; an engaging stew, who met our every need and provided fun and laughter; plus Panos, who is a true captain in waiting and delivered on all of our activity needs on the water.
The trip was very well organized by George and Penelope, who ensured every detail was pre planned and we could relax once aboard. A trip of a lifetime!

The Ionians are just amazing. Crystal clear water, amazing anchorages with lots of opportunities to be stern to, fabulous towns along the way, our 6&7 year old never asked for a screen, and I read 2 books – unheard of! Our yacht had everything we needed and the staff were super helpful at getting us onboard/underway at check in and then on arrival back to port getting everything checked off efficiently. The town/where we spent the last night in Lefkada was absolutely humming. The square was packed, was such an awesome atmosphere and so great to be back in Europe in the summer

Mykonos Catamaran – An unforgettable experience to have at least once in your life!

Situated right in the middle of the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea and with a population of about 12,500, one of the smallest islands of Greece attracts thousands of tourist every year. Everyone knows about Mykonos, everyone knows about “the city of the winds.” Even if you haven’t been in the country there is no doubt you have heard about the Ibiza of Greece. There are some many Greek legends regarding its origins and geological formation!

Worldwide known for its unbeatable nightlife, Mykonos is the place to be if you enjoy wild parties in a super interesting atmosphere: it is one of the most renowned gay-friendly places all over the world. But apart from the wild parties, this beautiful small city has everything you need to have the best Mediterranean luxury holiday.

Mykonos sailing will give you the opportunity of enjoying its architecture: typical Greek white houses, but with a little twist of blue windows and doors, which makes it different from other Greek islands such as Santorini.

We know you might want to spend most of your time sailing around its coast, but Mykonos city is definitely a place you need to visit, especially if you enjoy having some drinks and partying. If you visit the city centre, our top recommendation is the Scandinavian Bar: during the daylight, you will appreciate its beautiful architecture, but after the sun sets it opens as a bar and will eventually turn into the most exciting night you can possibly imagine.

We also believe Mykonos is a city made for walking, we encourage you to wander around its little streets and simply get lost in its beautiful passages. But don’t worry, you will always find your way back. Another must-visit building is the Tourliani Monastery, located in the middle of some traditional villages that spread all around the city.

Do not leave the city without paying a visit to the super famous mills located near Mykonos harbour.

For those of you who are keen on swimming and sunbathing on pristine white-sanded beaches, we recommend you to go to Rineia North Beach, Ornos Beach and Delos. Another top beach to visit is Agios Loannis: perfect for swimming or spending the afternoon in the Powdery Golden Sand.

Weather-wise, Mykonos has a typical Mediterranean weather, with the highest average temperature reaching 28° Celsius degrees. Getting to and off Mykonos is quite easy as it possesses one of Greece most connected road network.

What to bring for your private Mykonos Catamaran

Ready for your next cruise vacation? Now that your itinerary is right on point, let’s go through your ideal packing list. Packing smart is on and we have all the techniques to help you pack the perfect bags. The first thing you need to consider is the type of holiday you are going to have and then pack at least one item for out-of-the-blue situations. We are talking about oh look at that nightclub, we definitely need to party there, type of things.

Mykonos sailing is a completely different experience than travelling on land. As obvious as it might sound, you have to be aware that, ideally, you are going to spend most of your time offshore. Having to go to land only to buy things you could have brought with you is a waste of time and money. Things that would probably be overpriced and you won’t use again once your holidays are over.

Planning for all types of weather is highly recommended. Even if you are renting a Mykonos Catamaran during the summer, you should pack at least one warm outfit. Since Mykonos is known for its wild nights, it is obvious you are going to visit the city and go clubbing at least once. For all the girls ready to embark on a catamaran adventure, don’t forget to pack cute sundresses that can be used as night outfits as well. But apart from night outfits and one warm jacket, the most important thing you need to pack are a pair of comfy shoes. Mykonos is a city that you would definitely want to walk in and it is not comfortable to walk up and down its streets in flipflops. And depending on the type of club you plan on visiting, make sure you pack at least one elegant-looking pair of shoes. Some exclusive clubs won’t let you in unless you are dressed smartly.

Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats are a must! With all that said, grab your amazing packed bags and make your way to Mykonos!
